MedRC Announces Partnership with the Syrian American Medical Society Young Professional Committee (SAMS YPC)

MedRC is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Syrian American Medical Society Young Professionals Committee (SAMS YPC) to expand access to medical research education and training for students and healthcare professionals in Syria.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing research skills among current and future healthcare professionals. Through MedRC’s educational programs, participants will have the opportunity to build a stronger foundation in medical research, including research methodology, scientific literature searching and critical appraisal, data management and analysis, academic writing, and the practical skills needed to contribute meaningfully to research projects.
For many students and healthcare professionals in Syria, access to structured research education and mentorship remains limited by financial and educational barriers. Through this partnership, SAMS YPC will help provide scholarship support for eligible participants, enabling more learners to access MedRC programs and develop skills that support their academic and professional growth.
The partnership aims not only to teach research concepts but also to create pathways for participants to become actively involved in the research process, from understanding scientific evidence and developing research questions to contributing to collaborative projects and disseminating their findings.
By bringing together MedRC’s commitment to research education and mentorship with SAMS YPC’s dedication to supporting and empowering Syrian students and healthcare professionals, we aim to create sustainable opportunities for research capacity building and foster a stronger culture of scientific inquiry.
We extend our sincere appreciation to SAMS YPC for its support and look forward to working together to empower students and healthcare professionals in Syria with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to contribute meaningfully to medical research and evidence-based healthcare.
